SB 1383 Food Recovery Annual Report Form

New state law, SB 1383, and the Alameda County Organics Reduction and Recycling Ordinance went into effect January 1, 2022, including requirements for certain food generating businesses to donate edible food to a local food recovery organization or service and establish contracts or written agreements with them.

Organizations receiving food from donors must maintain documentation of the types and quantity of food (measured in pounds) recovered per month and the frequency of collections/deliveries from donors.

 

*Please consider providing records to donors to help them comply with reporting requirements.

 

This 2023 report is due on March 31st, 2024, by 6:00 pm for donations received January 1, 2023 - December 31st, 2023.

    Required Food Recovery Reporting

    *From January 1st – December 31st, 2023  

    This section is required, and the information entered below will be shared with the jurisdiction your organization is located in for their reporting to CalRecycle.

    Please answer the following questions regarding the number of donors and lbs. of food recovered from both Tier 1 and Tier 2 donors with whom you have a contract or written agreement in 2023, as well as  Tier 1 and Tier 2 donors that your organization does not have a written agreement with in 2023.
