Under State law SB 1383 and the local Organics Reduction and Recycling Ordinance, all businesses, nonprofits, institutions, and multifamily properties in Alameda County (“sites”) must have compost (organics) and recycling collection service.
Certain food-generating businesses must also recover edible food that would otherwise be disposed of and donate it to nourish people.
Proof of compliance may be required if you received a letter or inspection report indicating
a violation. To submit proof of compliance, complete the form below.
Note: Submitting proof of compliance will, if approved, prevent future violations; it will not “clear” prior or existing violations unless the provided evidence indicates compliance prior to the date on a violation letter or inspection report.
